L4D2 Cups

Let's shoot some commons! ^_^

Second day and Cup over
A huge congratulation to team SNOGARD Dragons who, with style, won the glory and the prize money yesterday!
After 3 very exciting and close matches the cup is now over. Snogard managed to beat Eleven in the first semi final and myRevenge showed Impracticable Project what they are made of in the second one. In the finale it was incredibly close between Snogard and myRevenge and the game was to be decided on the final map of Parish; the bridge. After nice tank fights and some rushing Snogard snatched those last few points and the victory!

We had a few stream issues and some teams were late but nothing to whine about, all in all the cup turned out great and I have had a wonderful time.

I want to thank everyone who have helped make this cup happen, the casters for doing a great job all through out the cup, the teams which participated, all the people who viewed the games live and most of all the prize money donors (clowN, BeaVerN).

The website will soon be updated with information about the next cup currently being planned.

I hope to see ya all shooting commons in the next cup! ^_^

First day over
The first day of the cup turned out fine even though we had some chaos with teams not showing up, stream issues etc. 4 Teams have made it through to the second round; Eleven, SNOGARD Dragons, myRevenge and Impracticable Project. Big congratz to them!
Round 2 and the Finale will take place tomorrow (7th February) and the first game, Snogard versus Eleven, will start at 13.00 CET with a stream up from around 12.00 CET. The other game is uncertain at this point, updates will come as soon as info does. The plan for the Finale is that it will be played at 15.00 CET as before, however that may change depending on the second game.. I guess we'll see tomorrow!

"Live Stream" Tab updated
I have updated the "Live Stream" tab with links to Xfire so that you can watch our broadcasts from our own site instead of Xfire. However if you want to able to make comments you have to press the "Xfire" button in the bottom right corner. We have also settled a time for an interview with Eleven's clan leader clowN 30 minits before the start of Round One (First Half) on Saturday the 6th, you don't wanna miss out on all that inside information ;)
So, 12.30 - Interview with clowN of Eleven.

All teams confirmed

All 8 teams have now confirmed that they will attend the cup and the match times will be put up on website shortly. The 12 slot plan is gonna have to be left alone for now, but it will be considered for the next cup.
The live streaming is getting along and I have 2 shoutcasters ready for action, but 1 more is needed. Interested? Contact l4d2cupssupport@hotmail.com or "snorkboll" on steam.

Cup going 12 slots?

Since some backup teams have stated their interest for the cup I figured: "Hey, why not make the cup a 12 slotter?" And that is exactly what will happen if a few more teams sign up. Personally I'd love the cup to change size to 12, the more the merrier right? ;)

Spots filled

All the spots for the cup are now filled but sign ups are still open since extra teams might be needed incase someone decides to not play. We are currently confirming that all teams will be attending the cup and when that's done the webpage will be updated with match times and other information.

L4D2 Weekend Cup

L4D2 Cups is proud to present our first weekend cup which is scheduled for the 6th and the 7th of February 2010 (with reservation for changes).
Sign ups will close January 30th, so make sure you get your team signed up in time!
The cup will consist of 8 teams fighting for the champion title in a single elimination type of cup-tree, there are currently 40 American dollars waiting for the winner. Donations for the prize money are more than welcome, contact our support (l4d2cupssupport@hotmail.com) for more info on how to donate. The cup will be a classic 4v4 Versus cup and it is to be played with the Confogl configuration and a scoring-system called Round Points. Round Points means that for every map your team wins it gets 1 point, the first team to reach 3 points out of the potential 5 wins the match.

Oh and btw, the site is still under construction :P
